I agree. Short of getting a grant from someone, setting up a lab, and testing a variety of fabrics & coatings, getting that accurate probably isn't going to happen. I was looking for more accuracy than "Yeppers, it's tougher than a pig skin! Lookie, when I hit it with this here big stick? It sure ain't gonna break!", but less than "Well, when the coating is applied at a thickness of .56 mm at a temperature of 18 degrees C and a constant relative humidity of 60% and allowed to cure for a full 196 hours..."

That's why I figure I'll go with Dave Gentry's new theory on PL Premium Construction Adhesive. It's cheap, and Dave thinks it's the toughest thing he's seen. If the stuff lasts a year, great! More than a year? Even better! If I have to reskin sooner, well, I'll get to play with Corey's next. If I don't have too much to repair or modify on the frame, I might just break the piggy bank and go with Coelan on nylon. It'll be my first SoF (heck, my first kayak!), and the sentimental value will be worth the price of Coelan.
