Hello Paul,

Actually a friend of mine (*who has a lot more money than I do) sent me that link wanting me to go in with him and build one. They're pretty cool, and would make for fun trips to the BVI, but I would rather have a float plane. I want (*note: "want" doesn't nescessarily mean "can afford to") to build a tiger moth with floats. Only two people, but lots of lift. Probably not the most ideal float plane, but I always wanted an old biwing warbird. It would be great for getting to the BVI or Puerto Rico. If I ever did build one I'd use a converted VW aircraft engine. Anyone that's known me for a while knows I can build a VW with one hand behind my back. The conversions are very reliable- magnetos, dual redundancy, etc. Also I have plans that I found online for a machine gun that uses bottled gas and a magneto driven by an electric motor to make real machine-gun sounds. Should be fun for buzzing my fisherman friends.

Every time I build a surfboard I think "I could just as easily build an airplane wing", and every time I build a kayak I think "this could have been a fuselage."

There's just not enough time or money in the world for all my pipe dreams!
