: Hello All,
: I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction
: here? I have a few designs for different types of kayaks I would
: like to get made out of polyethylene. Who do I need to talk to?
: How much will it be to make 2 to 3 of my designs? Any
: information would be great. Thanks.
You have picked one of the most expensive processes that takes huge numbers to recoup costs.
Here is a quick start. I looked up aluminum molds on Google and came up with Cole Industries. I know nothing about them.
The Janicki site you will find interesting but a kayak project may be too small for this aerospace builder.
Tim Niemier at On Water Designs does prototype thermoform patterns for small runs of a dozen boats.
You may want to track down who is doing all the inexpensive fishing kayaks and partner with them to get your project off the ground.

Where you are located is also going to be a consideration.
