No progress on Linda's WD Solace 16...was too tired so helped Keith work on his WD Solace 17. Sadly, we discovered that his stern was a bit warped so we heated it with the gun, then repositioned the panels and reglued. Straightened it out goooood. We also coated his hull with a very thin layer of epoxy prior to sanding. Keith went a bit crazy sanding the panels before assembly and managed to wear them down to the point that I don't dare let him sand the wood unprotected. That said, all he wants now is to get the project done so he almost doesn't care if there are unsightly scars...I kindly informed him that after the first week of paddling, there'll be plenty enough scratches in the finish to sell cheap on the street corner.
