If you have built the footbraces in Nick Schade's The Stripbuilt Sea Kayak, I'd like to read your assessment of the system. I am currently building a Pygmy Arctic Tern 14 and distrust the plastic Keepers braces (not durable). If you have any suggestions or improvements, I would appreciate knowing of them. I've used the search function on this site, but cannot strike pay dirt on this.

Cascade Smartrack are durable but expensive. I liked the Smartrack system, because you could easily adjust them while on the water--not possible with the Werner and the Keepers footbraces.
