I've not done a Nikumi (yet) but I've built a whole bunch of Tom's designs and I'm 6' and about 200 lbs. and I fit in them just fine. The specs on the standard Nikumi call for 325 lb. displacement at a 5" waterline, you'd need a heck of alot of stuff packed into the boat along with you to get close to that. Boat will weigh about 30 or 40 lbs. so you've still got at least 80 lbs. to play with.
