Wow that's kind of sad, and awesome (in a cool you get to build another boat kinda way). Thanks for the heads up, I have occasionally had thoughts of taking my skin canoe down some local rivers, but after seeing that photo I think I will stick to mountain lakes with it.
What were the circumstances that resulted in the boat being in that condition? I am guessing you pinned the boat against something? Its interesting how the ribs all look mostly intact but you managed to split every one of your stringers and gunwales. Details please!
