Ha! If my new 'yak sinks when I put it in the water for the first time, I've got the perfect excuse: It's not a real boat. And when anyone asks about the 'yak as I'm putting it in, I'll be able to disarm any questions by simply replying "It's fake. Nope, it's not a real boat. Nothing to see here. Move on."

I've already had a discussion about paddles with the wife, too. She's ok with me building another kayak for her (Sea Bee 13, I reckon). She's not comfortable with the concept of a GP. She's paddled kayaks before with an EP, never with a GP. Since I'm starting out fresh (I think I propelled a rowboat at some point in the last ten years; Maybe), I think I've got an advantage there. I am interested in having someone with actual experience look at my GPs, though, to discuss airfoil shape

I may have a conundrum on my hands, though. If I paddle with the GP and impress my wife enough that she wants to switch, does that mean I'm right? Isn't there something about the universe imploding and doing bad things to space/time/breakfast?
