I've had good luck with new and better with used until this boat. I don't think I'll ever sell my 16-foot kayak that I have from the same company. I bought that one used. The hatches do leak, because it's one of the old ones and they installed the hatches with pop rivets in addition to goop. I just need to drill the rivets and fill the holes to fix the issue, but it doesn't seem to be a big issue. It's from '98 and has no spider cracks and I've landed it in surf on rocks. I beat the snot out of it. It weighs a ton, but they don't make 'em strong like that anymore.
