: I plan on mounting a v shaped sail on the bow of my 17' strip. I am
: using the the small female side rail mounts from a bimini I had
: on my Thompson out board to mount it to the bow. From that I
: plan to have two fiberglass poles and then the sail shapped
: inbetween. When I stow it it will just colaps down towards me
: onto my deck of which I will be able to strap down simple
: enough. I expect it to be about 3' tall when raised. Has anyone
: made something like this? I would like to see pictures if you
: have. Good for going with the wind, I presume marginal with
: cross wind. I plan on doing some long distance trips and having
: a small sail to assis would be nice.
: Thanks
I haven't tried this but!! someone said to bring a large mans umbrella with a hook handle, pop it open when the wind is right, i'm
still looking LOL. Nick R.
