Hi Dave,
Beautiful kayak you have there. The Guillemot was also my first strip kayak. I also used a Redfish seat and it will position you about 2.5" forward of the coaming.
The playful tracking is easy to get used to, you will start to stear by leaning after a short while.
I also built an Outer Island later for a strong tracking kayak. I love them both, I just use them for different conditions.
Oh heck I admit it I built a entire yard full of kayaks and can't stop building.
