: I haven't finished the inside of the deck and hull, but am thinking
: of the hatches for my Great Auk 14. Nick's book suggests cutting
: out the hatches and doing the lips before attaching the deck to
: the hull. I am worried that if I do this, and then have to put
: stress on the deck to make sure it fits the hull, then the
: opening cut for the hatch might get distorted and the hatch
: cutout might not fit properly in the opening. Has anyone else
: run into this problem?

I glue in Ply Hatch lips and glue them in afterwards.
