Hi Nick,

Actually the 3.2 ounce wets out extremely easily, though I've not used it with Raka. I seem to remember that it's thinner than the West epoxy that I use so if anything should wet out easier. With any epoxy and any fiberglass though it's not immediate, it does take at least a little time for the resin to soak thru the glass and start it to turn clear, just be patient and move on to areas that aren't wet. This is temperature related, most everything with epoxy is, so it's far easier to get any glass wet thru and clear when it's warmer (over 70 degrees).

I wonder if the problem you're having getting the cloth laying flat and the pieces of cloth unsaturated arn't related? Are you putting the glass on the hull on a bias? If the glass is laid on the boat straight with the yarns running parallel to the keel you'll have a difficult time getting it flat. Needs to be laid on the boat running from corner to opposite corner on the diagonal on the cloth, the bias helps the glass to more easily conform to the complex shape of a hull. It still needs split at the ends btw, no cloth will make that shape without some puckering at the very tips, that has to be cut and the glass overlapped.
