It helps that I don't like full length strips, so I can shop for shorter lengths and be happy.

I've already got plenty of wood to build Bryan's design, just want some variety of color and would prefer the deck at least to be all cedar to minimize the weight. I've got a pile of 2" x 8" clear cypress in the shop that I'll use for the hull, for this boat and likely several others :)
