Now there's a man after my own heart. I don't enter races, but I hang out with and train like racers because I just like to go fast for decent distances. Keeps me feeling young and dumb, I guess. My routine courses always seem to end up right at 7 miles, and are mostly open ocean, so the sea kayak is my ride of choice.
Nice boat man, would sure like to see it in person and maybe take it for a spin!
: I am not really a racer. My normal workout is about 6 miles, and I
: have an irrational desire to make it around in an hour. Not
: particularly well-thought out, but a desire nonetheless. I can
: get my old yak up to about 5.4 mph for a couple of miles. I can
: get this one up to 6mph for a couple of miles, so now I have a
: target I may be able to hit. 8-)
