Hello Rob,
I have used some Spanish Cedar and it machines and sands very well. The weight is close to WRC. The grain is similar to Mahogany and the color is like a light Mahogany. You might even think you have Mahogany, until you start sawing it and release its wonderful fragrance.
I get my Spanish Cedar from L.L. Johnson in Charlotte, Michigan. They do ship all over the country and it may be more economical than buying from Noah's or CLC.
