That is just about exactly the way I did mine this afternoon. I noticed on a paddling video Nick Schade did his on the left. By watching his build videos he looks to be right handed.

I have flown airplanes with the throttle on the left and right hand locations and never thought much about it. Maybe I was over thinking this...I just hate to make mistakes.
