Thanks Bill. I've got the floor boards as low as they can go and no padding, so no room for improvement there short of taking out a cross section of the my body truck, or lopping off a bit of my "five head":). I do understand that time will make this easier (my kayak life total experience is about 30 minutes), but I really think the biggest part of the problem is shear weight. I'm at 285 lbs right now. I'd hoped to be lighter by the time I got the boat done, but my wife is too good of a cook;).... Anyway; just sitting in the boat, if I wiggle a bit to one side, I'll take in a bit of water at the back corner of the cockpit before the secondary stability TRIES to kick in. I say "tries" because it's only a very brief period of reassurance as I quickly move well past it and am very soon on my way out of the cockpit with a "fish eye" view of the world:).

On the bright side, I've spent just short of my life savings on a nice bike to ride to work each day (34 miles round trip). That ought to help drop some weight.
