Strip: bending 1st bow strip? *PIC*

Hey all,
I posted a while back and at that time had just gotten started on my boat... Then winter came :( An unheated garage means not much gets done out there. :(

Anyway, it's been getting nicer and I've finally made some progress! All stations aligned, level, and fastened.
I found a real score on some pristine Northern White Cedar at $2 a board foot.. Amish rough cut 4/4 1x6x8' air dried, and clear as clear can be. stripped up about 9 boards and not even a tiny single knot in any of it. Beautiful wood..

So, I started tacking on the first strip today (which was exciting). Was going very well until I got to the bow :/ My particular boat has a fairly swept up bow. Similar to a Gillmont... I broke 2 strips trying to get that bend and decided to call it quits for the night. Any tips or tricks on how to deal with a bend like like that? I'm pretty sure I'll end up having to use some cheaters, but was hoping at least the first strip or two would flow clear through..

Thanks for any wisdom I'm anxious to finally start seeing this thing come together!
