Bill/Clayton,

Sounds like i made all the mistakes you've mentioned (used a short nap roller and spread the epoxy like paint). I'll have to get a foam roller. Any reason why i shouldn't just pour and spread the next coat with the usual plastic spreader?

For now i think i'll leave it alone and continue with building the coaming, glassing the interior, and joining the deck/hull. Then i'll come back and give the whole masterpiece a good sanding and re-assess the bubble situation then. This way i can fair the seam tape into the deck at the same time and hopefully save doing double work. The bubbles are really tiny and probably un-noticable to anyone but me, but i know they're there; and they'll haunt me in my sleep.

On a side note, i've made a late choice to put a layer of carbon fiber on the interior of the hull just in the cockpit area, that stuff expensive. It's strictly for the look at this point, not for extra strength, but i'm sure it wouldn't hurt if it did add strength. Do you see any issues with applying the carbon sheet over epoxy that's been cured for 2 months now? I'll be sure to scuff up the epoxy layer first, but i've never worked with carbon before so i'm not sure what to look out for.
