I'm not keen on the concept of spraying epoxy, either. It's nasty enough in a cup, thank you very much.

That Air Boat Coating looks intriguing. Might be good for a hull, not so much for the kayak deck, since it appears to come in any color you want, as long as you want it black. I don't know how much the "slickness" of the coating is going to make a difference, at the paddling speeds we're looking at. It sounds nice, though. Looks like they're based out of Wilton, too... do you think they'd let me stop by and pick up a quart? ;oD. I'm in Schenectady, myself.

If it's as nontoxic as they say, I could see myself using it mainly due to being able to apply it in the basement, over the winter, without the fear of poisoning the wife and cats. I'd hear no end of it.
