Ahhh...found the reply button - thanks Bill. Yeah - this is a non-hazerdous water based coating with a lengthy potlife so applying it is actually a selling point on this 'Wearlon Wetlander' coating. I actually have a background in coatings applications and just find spraying the way to go from an appearance standpoint. I find this coating performs very well as a protective coating, but I appreciate (from a white-water perspective) how well it slides over rocks as opposed to getting snagged, slowed down, or even hung up. It's especially good for my aluminum canoe when I get to shallow water and encounter a lot of drag. And if and when there is a wear spot, I just touch up with a mini roller. Anybody else using a coating on their canoe or kayak for these kinds of purposes? If so, what are you using - just a basic epoxy?
