Michael,
I've had fairly good success putting a piece of plastic over the opened tube with electritions/duct tape or an elastic wrapped tightly around the end. Then squeeze out a golf ball or slightly smaller blob of glue into the plastic cover. The o/s of the glue cures while the stuff in the tube stays good for a surprisingly long time.
That said, I might use the old stuff for gluing birdhouses or something non life threatening. Buy new stuff for gluing your parachute harness or a kayak you going to trust with your life.
Be well!!
Ken
: Is it possible to preserve partially used cartridges for later
: projects, or will the pu kick off in the tube regardless of
: precautions? Some kinds of tube products are better than others
: at not going off prematurely. Any experiences here with how long
: an open tube, if sealed from the air, might remain useful?
: thanks all
