I see Redfish cuts barrier almost to exact size of hatch. Wouldn't this mean the flange lay-up is permanently epoxied to deck? Different from a removable flange lay-up that is affixed after cleaning it up. How did you do yours?

I will add extra layers and use a 1/2" forstner with spur filed down.

Looking forward to your photos. You can't beat a picture when explaining things to a novice like me!
