I'll let you know the paddling characteristics. I know it will be tender initially, but the Iggy is too and I love that boat's secondary. I was out on Lake Michigan this past Saturday during the Lake Macatawa (Michigan) Meet at the beach, and the wave action was pretty exciting; 5' -7' waves with a lot of reflection off the pier head. I have to admit I was nervous, but the Iggy kept me dry. I'm hoping and expecting the Pearl to be similar. Mine is 19' 5" long, which is longer than a normal Pearl. Maybe the foam brush stuck in the butt will give me better tracking :-)
