Yep... I was in the same dilemma... I built the 14' Sea Pup for my daughter and ended up placing the scarfs behind the cockpit well after it finished bending and straightened out to the stern. Its really a nice spot... It is holding nicely and overall I am really pleased with the whole outcome.

: scarfs near midships or try to locate them closer to the
: stem/stern? I'm guessing you go for areas of less curvature
