Nice compact looking double. Can we have a picture with the skin on?

The offsets don't seem to be on Tom Yost's site yet.

: Oops, I left off the message.
: I am finishing up a double baidarka designed by Tom Yost. The frame
: is finished and it getting it's skin now.
: Tom came up with a great name the DoubleDarka. It started several
: weeks back when I asked Tom if he had ever thought about a
: double Nikumi and he said thet he had something he had been
: working on a while back. Well that must have inspired him to
: finish the designing and I got the offsets and here is what came
: out.

: Displ. 450 lbs. @ 4.5" WL
: Immersion 120 lbs. per inch

: Cp. 0.60

: The DoubleDarka is not a bigger Nikumi but a new design. I am
: building it with cedar stringers. 1/2" ply stations, glued
: and pegged construction. I have skined it with 8oz poly and
: coated it with urethane. I am installing a line so I can pull
: float bags into the ends and back out again, something I have
: wanted to do for the last several SOF builds.

: Soon my daughter and I will launch the DoubleDarka and give a
: paddling report, can hardly wait. Until then comments are
: welcome.
