The bulkhead is to me anyway far harder to install than the foot braces, my Disko Bay is set up very much like this and I've never used about 2/3 of the track they mount on. Would have to be a very short person in the boat to have legs to use that part. Cutting those tracks down will also save some weight, they are really rugged foot braces but are heavy.
