: I made a similar mistake. I drafted my chine placement the wrong
: dimensions by accident. I had already drilled the holes for the
: cutouts before i realized it. My cross sections width was
: 3/4"-7/8" at the chine instead of 1". My solution
: was to glue a 3/4" x 2" piece of 3/8" ply across
: the narrow spot. Cross sections could take my full body weight
: compressing them after that. I've placed them so that the scabs
: face the bow and the stern so that no one will ever know my
: mistake...
