: To the folks having trouble with the pasted links, try the
: following (It's an extra step, but will help you figure out what
: might be happening.)

: 1) Copy the link however you are currently doing it.
: 2) Open Notepad (Windows) or another text-only editor (something
: that only saves in .txt type files)
: 3) look at the pasted text and see if it matches what you copied.
: If it did, open a new browser window and paste it into the
: address bar.

: If the pasted text doesn't look like what you thought you copied,
: try this (going back to the post with the link):
: 1) select the link text (move the cursor to the beginning, click
: and drag to the end of the URL)
: 2) right-click (Windows) or Cmd-click (Mac) and select Copy from
: the drop down
: 3) repeat the previous step three above.

: What might possibly be happening is that the text isn't getting
: properly selected, and the copy command may be acting on the
: active page URL rather than the desired url in the post. This
: forum doesn't support active hyperlinks in messages, so you have
: to be really careful about how you select the URL from within
: the text of the page.
