My first Yost SOF had non-baltic birch plywood from one of the big box stores, looked really nice in the store. Stuff was just full of voids, after cutting out the frames I ended tossing all of them and the rest of the sheet in the garbage and starting over. A couple of the frames were so bad they fell apart just holding them. My fault, I was just being lazy, I had about a dozen sheets of marine ply in storage, just was too lazy to go dig it out ;)
