By the time you strip the old glass off, re-sand and re-glass you have almost as much work as a new boat. The main thing you do not have is the wood. The glassing is grunt work, and all of the fun is in the stripping.

If you still have the strongback and forms, you may be better off building another boat. Surely you know somebody who like to have a slightly faded, but still beautifull wooden kayak????
