I remember when I stitched up the Sea Flea on '07, I didnt have a clue what I was doing. I was going by pictures of other websites of what looked like other guys were doing... so I just started stitching. I quickly realized that it wasnt really rocket science... anything I did to hold those seams together was going to work pretty much as good as the other. But I do like the look of the small stitches and a smoother seam. By the time the paint is applied it will be nearly invisible to the eye...or close enough for me anyway.

I cant wait to do a wood strip kayak someday.... I really do dream about it. Once I get enough SOF's to play with in the water, I think I can take the time to devote to a longer project of a strip kayak.

The Sea Bee is coming along so nice! I am excited to see such quick progress.
Yesterday was a nice hot day and we wet down the Sea Pup's canvas and set it in the sun to try and tighten up the weave a bit before applying some paint. It really has come out nice. With each kayak, I can see new things I'd like to change, modify, prevent, or add to the next. Its pretty cool.
I am so addicted. Ha Ha.
