Lately I've been doing the glass on the inside of the hull in width sections of the roll for all of the reasons listed with epoxy being easier to deal with and giving better wet-outs when it's new. I've been using 44" wide 3.2 oz. glass, so I just lay the roll across the boat and cut a piece for that section. I then wet-out that 44" section, squeeze out the excess, and move on to the next 44" piece. The inside of a boat is hard enough to do without trying to bite off more length than I can reasonably do in about 30-45 minutes. By doing it this way I also end up with an overlap rib every 44", giving it a little bit more strength. Of course, I don't do the outside of the deck this way, but it's a much smaller area and easier to wet-out than the interior of the hull. I think I have a lot less glass wasted this way too, which is easier on my dutch sensibilities :-) I got this idea from Bryan Hansel, so, thanks Bry, it works well!
