Btw, the extra material is ground up bark from a certain south american evergreen tree that adds lots of tannin to the mix, it's normally used for tanning leather but works great for ebonizing wood. You need like a teaspoon, I bought ten pounds. I didn't understand at the time how much was needed and the minimum order was a pound and the extra was seriously cheap, so I bought extra, a 20 lifetime supply as it works out ;)
I can look up the name for this stuff at home, it's what I'm planning on using on the topsides of the boat design of yours that I'll be building.
