Thanks for the response. Sounds like I'll go that route and save some sewing. (especially since I'm building a touring kayak, and not a traditional greenland...)

I guess the theory is to sew the bow and stern in the traditional way, and then staple the gunwhales, or do you just saple the bow nd stern also somehow? It just seems like it will be difficult to keep them clean if they're stapled.
