Here is how I mount my footrests to a Fuselage Frame. I am using SeaLect design footrests, formerly Sea Dog, and I attach them with aluminum angle brackets that I make. Just screw them to the gunwale. I use the existing screws that come with the footrests and attach them to the brackets. I have done this on several boats and sold a few sets and as far as I know, never had one come loose. If you play in surf or something similar and really rough on them they might pull the screws out of the gunwales.
