Intriguing frame technique. Your idea? I'm not sure you saved on weight. Yeah, could have been a bit. Or, more for material availability, or experimentation? Does that aluminum adhesive really work? And last? Not something the average person could get hold of?

: I launched a Yost Sea Tour 17EXP this spring. Frames are aluminum

: are western red cedar, all recycled from earlier boats, and none
: of the wood was straight, which made for interesting challenges.
: Stems were plywood. Final weight, fully rigged, 31 lbs.
