: closely at your photos. I figured I could avoid your angle/joint
: in front of the cockpit by bending the plywood for a continuous
: flow, keep the direction going up to provide more footroom, and
: narrow the center section for paddle clearance. Your photos were
: a stepping stone for my design. The photo below shows the cheap
: plywood deck templates carved (pattern making) in place.

Myself, I owe a great debt of ideas to Kurt Maurer, Ross Leidy and others too numerous to mention. Some day, someone should write a book that includes all the improvements in features and techniques passed over, and not acknowledged by the existing publications.
