I'm considering myself very lucky... the paved trail my wife runs with her club is adjacent to two major rivers: the Hudson and the Mohawk. All I've got to do is get the boat on the roof rack early enough to be on time. She views it as time spent together, even if we're off doing our own things. Very relaxing.
