: THE CAPE FALCON GUY HAS A REALLY GOOD TUTORIAL ON SEWING.
: I WOULD UN-STITCH TO SAVE THE FABRIC AND START OVER FROM THE ENDS.
: SEW A POCKET FOR THE BOW AND STERN THEN STRETCH THE CLOTH
: LENGTHWISE OVER THE FRAME.
: SEW FROM THE ENDS AS SHOWN IN THE LINK AND YOU CAN GET A VERY TIGHT
: COVER WITH NO SHRINKING REQUIRED.
: SEW TOWARD THE COCK PIT & ALL THE LOOSE FABRIC WILL CLEAN UP
: AND GET CUT OUT W/ VERY LITTLE PUCKERING.
: LANCE
The only issue here is that Brian (Cape Falcon) is using nylon, not polyester. Another great tutorial for nylon is at Corey's site (www.skinboats.org).
Hopefully Jeff (Kudzu) will chime in soon, as I'm sure he's encountered this issue before.
