Ah, I see, then it's just like my Raven TK-1 trainer. I built it to fit me and only me...or anyone who has my exact build. My feet are on the bulkhead as well, pressed on a nice comfy layer of foam-on-spray foam. You are gonna have to really mess up that coaming to get more room. It can certainly be done but you have to study how it was shaped, cut it away, then rebuild it using the same method as the original...that is if you want to end up with the same final look as it stands right now. I figure you could have the mods done within a week, not including the paint unless you dedicate yourself to it. You would have to shape a new bit of riser from wood (I'd use 3/4" marine grade plywood), attach it to the hull, then remake a piece of coaming to fit. Glass both sides of the coaming to ensure it is strong with a bead of thickened epoxy around both the new riser and coaming bits to make sure they are strong. I think it's a relatively small job, just one that requires a little work each day. I think your biggest job is getting the new pieces shaped to fit nicely. After that, the rest is a piece of cake. I hope this helps you decide how to proceed if you go ahead with it.
