Problem Solved,
I never did get around to putting some sponsons on his boat. But my son went to camp for a week and they spent some time in Canoes practicing tipping them over etc. He thought that was great fun. So last weekend we took had the kayaks out at my inlaws home on the lake and i got him to do some wet exits in his kayak which proved to be the answer to my problems. He thought it was great fun and even managed to perfect wet entries. His whole experience has changed and he wants to go out in the kayak now. Next step - skirt.
