A point that might be missed is that minicell is not porous so it doesn't need a 'slick' surface. It'll never soak up water. Even the roughest surface
drip dries almost as fast as a paddle.
I like Etienne's up-marketing of minicell, suede. That suede surface isn't a problem and may add some traction when wet.
I just worked through the sandpaper grades, stopping at about 120-150 grit when I was OK with how it looked.
I also just realized we already know how far we can take this; what working through the grades to 0000 steelwool will
look like. Why, just yesterday I spent 3 hours polishing my minicell seat with nylon (wrapping it around your butt will give you
the right shape.) Neoprene works too. It will ever get shiny.
