When I built Bjorn's Black Pearl as a fuselage frame SOF, I experienced issues with the chines and keel hogging between the long gap in forms from the forward cockpit to the foot brace form. When I reskinned it last winter I added a wide traditional rib between those two forms to help support the stringers and that has worked well for me while taking up the least room inside.
