The show was dominated by stand up paddle boards this year, it was hard to find a kayak in the middle of all of them. Current Designs had a few tweeks to their boats. A Norwy company was there called Sea Bird. They had some very well built well designed boats. They had a few Bjorn Thomasson greenland designs including the Black Pearl and Sea Pearl that were very nice. Bjorn has been selling plans to home builders for years, I think these are the only boat designs he has that are manufactured. Their prices were right and their craftsmanship was good. They seem to build a little more on the strong and heavy side than the light side. Other than that I didn't see much to talk about, plastic dominates, SUP's really dominate.
