The pulls are nothing to worry about, but I don't understand why you would not coat the fabric on the inside of the coaming. I always coat it in order to protect it and to seal the skin to the coaming.

Polyester is inherently UV resistant, Nylon is not unless it's specially treated. Your skin fabric is not suffering from UV breakdown.
