: I made these two edge planes because well, we need'em.
: I googled and googled and found an old Stanley 95? Hundred bucks. I
: found the nice edge plane Nick was using on one of his videos,
: $130.
: So....based on the Stanley 30 degrees angle and 12 degrees (ever
: use a block plane at an angle? Ever use one straight on?)
: Easy to make. Follow the link to my Flickr site to see more details
: and how I use them.
: I made one for one direction, then tweaked the design--making it
: smaller for the second. They use 3/4" chisels--so these
: will be the most solid plane chisels in your shop.
: They adjust with a tap. And the pivot determines how deep you bite
: into the strip. (The one on the left--red handle chisel, has a
: handle. It makes guiding more controllable, and it works as a
: tightening nut.
: And because they're ugly, it'll be easy to make ones that look a
: lot nicer.
