Hahaha, Bob, yes, that is what I find with most SOF kayaks, especially with the QajaqUSA crowd!

However, I found significant water ingress with my SOF paddling in steep choppy waves, as the bow would go under some waves, with water up on the foredeck. Once I filled some of those stitching holes way up in the bow, (and also my deck line holes) the boat has been much drier inside.
