Haven't read all these replies, but,

I am a huge Apple fan, have used their hardware since forever, and if I could have afforded iPhones, that's what we'd have, no question. However, we got the free deal on HTC Droid Incredibles, so I got one for my wife and I. Absolutely love it. The Droid Inc has a very good camera built in, the best phone camera I've ever seen, and that was the tipping point I think. I was leery of the Android OS, but it has been great. Now, I don't use a lot of apps, but the WebKit based browser is as good as Safari or Chrome, and the email app works fine. The screen is big enough. It really is a small computer.

If you have the choice, I'd say go with iPhone, but if you have to go Android, the Inc has made me happy.

The only thing about the Droid that I haven't appreciated is the battery life, it seems rather short, but since I'm usually around the office most days, it's easy to keep topped up. Weekends, if I am out playing, not using the phone much anyhow.

The GPS on the thing is great too, able to keep it in a small clear drypak on the foredeck, and easily access the touch screen with wet fingers through the drypak. The speakerphone is good enough to work through the drypak also, so I can take calls on the water and carry on a conversation whilst paddling along. Do have to shout a bit sometimes if it's windy, and people you pass on docks may think you are insane, paddling and talking to yourself, but whatever. They already think you're crazy paddling a kayak, so it doesn't really matter.

One last bit of advice, never, never ever look at the bill, Bill. I just told my wife to factor it into the monthly total, I make the money, put it in the bank, she writes the checks. Condition to have smartphones was that I never wanted to hear how much that crap costs. Just pay it, don't think about it. It's a darn handy device. Costs way, way too much, I think like a kayak per month, but I forget...

BTW, when you get one, can you use it to beam those FG skin instructions to me??? : )) It'll make it way easier to take shots while working.
